Aiming to preserve the Historic Hope No. 1 Firehouse as a beacon of service, Hope Served proposes to create a live-work environment for disabled adults within its walls. If awarded the building by the Lancaster County Land Bank Authority, Hope Served would complete:
- Careful renovation of the historic structure and facade
- Four fully-ADA accessible apartments
- New stairwell & four-story elevator
- Ground floor restaurant space for acquisition of job skills & service to the community
- Convert basement to office & resource space
