Illumination 2026: Come to the Table

Hope Served is transforming the former Manheim Mennonite Church into a teaching kitchen and bistro, and your support will help make this vision possible. It takes a community of partners, volunteers, donors, and advocates to create this meaningful employment opportunity for individuals with disabilities. Proceeds from our Illumination 2026 event on October 22 will go towards renovation costs and programming for Hope Served.

This year’s theme, Come to the Table, is an invitation for the community to partner with us in closing the unemployment gap for individuals with disabilities.

Across the United States, only about one in four working-age adults with disabilities is employed. Those numbers do not reflect a lack of ability. They reflect a lack of opportunity.

That is where Hope Served steps in. We are more than a nonprofit, and we are more than a café. We are a social enterprise, a business with a mission. Every cup of coffee we serve, every meal we prepare, and every customer who walks through our doors helps create real employment, job training, confidence, and independence for people who deserve the chance to succeed.

By attending our Illumination event and coming to the table, you are helping build a place where individuals with disabilities can gain skills, earn meaningful employment, and become active contributors in our community.
